Mrs. Murphy & Sons Irish Bistro (3905 N Lincoln)
Please join us for this special, intimate performance at a pop-up speakeasy theater in one of the city's legendary Irish pubs.
Jozie's touching and funny journey from the Philippines to the U.S., where she embraces being a mom, a wife, and a daughter. Join her for an evening of laughter, self-discovery, and celebration as she transforms from feeling like a "Fakapina" to proudly becoming a "Funnypina."
Born in the Philippines and raised in San Francisco, Jozie Fox has called Chicago home for more than 20 years. She's done it all—theater, commercials, voice-overs, indie films. She dabbled in improv, but nothing clicked until she stumbled into storytelling and stand-up comedy just before the pandemic. Jozie Fox is very excited to premiere her first solo show, “Funnypina”. She is ever so grateful for the feedback of Jennifer Leo (coach extraordinaire, screenwriter, and fellow comedian) and Kurtis Matthews (owner/founder of San Francisco Comedy College). This show is dedicated to Jozie’s toughest critics: her husband and 15-year-old son. You can find her on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook under the handle @whatswhatwithjozie, and visit her website at www.joziefox.com
